Joyce Smith Quilts

I've always been involved with textiles, from about the age of 5 when I started embroidery, then needlepoint, then bobbin lace-making. I came late to quilting - the mid 1990s - and was only going to make 2 quilts for the spare bedroom. Oops!

Each of my quilts is unique and all my quilts are made from 100% cotton (unless otherwise specified) with 80% cotton + 20% Polyester wadding. I quilt on an HQ Avante 18" long-arm machine for the bigger quilts. I also take in quilt tops to finish by Longarm and the Pantograph patterns start at £3 per square ft.

I also make similar quilts to individual order as "Memory Joggers" for people with Alzheimer's or dementia.

Commissions to Order are available and all quilts can be made into Wall Hangings. Full International shipping is available, with sales to Belgium / Australia and five US states.

JSQ took part for 1st time in North East Open Studies (NEOS) in 2017 and will again from 8th to 16th September 2018.

I'm also a member of the Quilters Guild and the Scottish Artists Union.

Sales are available through,, Etsy and / or Handmade at Amazon. So please visit for full Contact information and to see my Galleries of finished quilts.
