We Are Inverurie Ltd is a Business Improvement District (BID) company set-up to promote and drive the business opportunities through various events, marketing, and collaborations.
BID is a government initiative designed to
give control to the businesses within the BID area to fulfill a business plan
decided by the BID members. All the businesses within the BID area, which is
primarily the town centre, have paid a
levy, based on their rateable value, into a central account to fund these
objectives which will be driven by a BID manager.
The company is run by a board of up to 14 voluntary Directors from the BID area who will oversee the execution of the plan over the 5 years life span of the BID. The BID manager will be negotiating with waste, utility, banks etc to try and get better deals for the levy payers, and in doing so, hopefully save the levy payers their original contribution to the fund.
